The Metatonic Cycle

The reason this study has become important has to deal with the the ending of
the 70th week of Daniel. I believe the start of it is pretty solidly fulfilled
on
Rosh Hashanah, 2005. However, if the
Metatonic cycle is true, then there are
2550 days in the 70th week of Daniel instead of 2520 days. This is marked by the
abomination of desolation happening 1260 days after the start of the 70th week
instead of 1230 days after it. This all revolves around
Daniel 12:11,
which states:
Daniel 12:11
And from the time that the
daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate
set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
This means that "in the midst of the week"
in Daniel 9:27 doesn't mean precisely in the middle (i.e.: 1260 days
|
1260 days), but rather somewhere in the midst of two parts as is implied by the
Greek meaning of "in
the midst."

When the
Feast of Trumpets, in a given year, and
the Day of
Atonement 7 years later is separated by 86 moons (and not 87 moons), (and
this is 12 years in the 19 year metatonic cycle), then the time span
encompassing these two feasts is precisely 2550 DAYS (inclusive). This
is the EXACT number of days encompassing the 70th Week of Daniel, (the
final seven years of this age) plus the 30 day extension, (probably a grace
period), which reaches out beyond the 1260 days to the 1290 days spoken
of by Daniel the prophet. (Daniel 12:11) This is a major discovery. It suggests
that the future 7 year
peace treaty
(DANIEL 9:27)

Many Bible students are coming to believe that the Feast of
Trumpets will herald the seven year peace covenant of Daniel 9:27.
This awesome future event fits the spirit, nature, and character of
the Feast of Trumpets very well. Evangelicals have also noticed that
the time span encompassing the
Feast of Trumpets and the
Day of Atonement (Christian holiday) when they are seven years
apart and when they comprise 86 moons on the metatonic cycle, (and not
87 moons), is 2550 days.
86 moons = 86 x 29.530589 days + 10 days = 2550 days (inclusive).
This is the time span that begins on Tishrei 1 in year X and extends
out seven years to Tishrei 10 on year X + 7.
2550 days is a very special number of days. It happens to very
precisely encompass the time span of the 70th week of Daniel with the
30 day extension of the second half of the 70th Week going beyond the
1260 days to the 1290 days. This period of 1290 days was prophesied by
Daniel in Dan.12:11. The number of days for the final seven years of
this age then becomes, - 1260 days + 1290 days = 2550 days.
My note: October 5, 2005 (non-inclusive) + 2550 days =
September 27, 2012 (Yom Kippur is
September 26, 2012, 67 days after the 9th of Av.)
There is a perfect agreement of the two time spans. And the nature
of the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement fits the Dan.9:27
seven year covenant and the last day, the Day of Reckoning
respectively. This indicates that the final seven years of this age
will begin on a Jewish new year somewhere in the September-October
time of the year.
The calculations of these Feast of Trumpets to
Day of Atonement time spans across 86 moons or across seven years
are simple and easily verifiable. They can be confirmed quite readily
using lunar data from the
United States Naval Observatory or by using the
Hebrew Calendar Converter available online at
Hebcal.com.
My comments:
Does that necessarily mean that
Yom Kippur marks the end of the 70th
week of Daniel? Or could it mark something else that happens, like
the sheep-goat judgments?
One thing I believe is important to
note is the examination of a confirmed covenant with many
nations that was put into force for a seven-year period and has
a mid-term review. It began January 1, 2007 as through the
European Union introduced and initiated by it's biggest pusher,
Javier
Solana, the
European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). Through the instruments
of this policy, Europe is working to give money for development
of nations in return for peace in the Middle East and
Mediterranean. It began in November of 1995 with the Barcelona
Process, the beginning agreement that started the process.
However it did not have the desired effects and so the ENP came
along to "breathe new life" into the Barcelona Process, a
confirming or making stronger of a covenant with many nations
and Europe, the
revived Roman Empire as shown in the process logo for the
1995 EuroMed Agreement.

More clarification is necessary because
I do not believe that this began the 70th week of Daniel. I
believe that happened on
Rosh Hashanah, 2005. I believe this according to the details
from Chuck Missler's research on
Ezekiel's 430 days. This connects the first Babylonian siege
to the creation of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948, the
"Servitude of the nation." Moreover it connects the 3rd
Babylonian siege that destroyed the temple to the recapture of
the Temple Mount in 1967.
However on June 7, 1967 control of the
Temple Mount was given to the Waqf, a Muslim council. Since that
time Israel has been seeing the fruits of this decision. This
leads to another Bible study I came across by
Charlie at
Wonderful1.com and
John Zachary regarding the 14,000 days in scripture and
history. Three times this period of time shows up between
prophetic events in Israel's history and two of them show up in
Bible prophecy as a period of judgment on the nation of Israel
for lack of faith in God's provision causing disobedience, a
lesson we all need to learn. The first shows up by calculations
of several prophecies that place 14,000 days from Israel leaving
Sinai to crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land.
This was the generation that wandered
the wilderness. Why? Twelve spies were sent to scout the land
promised to Israel and they found giants there. Out of twelve
spies, only two gave a positive report showing faith that no
matter what the situation, God was with them so none could stand
against them. Israel sided with the ten who said they would
surely lose. God made a promise and Israel doubted His
follow-through, but our God is perfect and does not lie. His
glory was shown when the walls of Jericho fell at the trumpet
sound. Chuck Missler also has
a great study on the
prophetic implications there. The second marks 14,000 days from
the Triumphal Entry on April 6, 32 AD to the destruction of the
second temple August 10, 70 AD!
I believe the Six-Day-War was meant to
give Israel back the Temple Mount according to Ezekiel's 430
days and marks the end of God's previous judgments for Israel,
except that they did not have faith in God's Word once again and
out of fear gave up control of the Temple Mount. For one
generation, 14,000 days, God's plan unfolded according to His
Word. You see, the 70th week of Daniel marks the end of man's
reign and begins the transition to Yeshua's reign for 1,000
years. It is in the midst of that final week of seven years that
the abomination of desolation marks the beginning of the end and
the wrath of God to come soon afterward at Christ's coming.
However, since God also keeps His Word, this unfolding cannot
take place until the promised judgments on Israel are completed,
14,000 days after June 7, 1967 -- Rosh Hashanah, 2005, the
Hebrew New Year and the Feast of Trumpets.
Satan's plans for Israel, through his
exerted control of the
horns of the beast, unfold not from the declarations of God,
but moving as much as he can within God's control of timing of
the end. I believe we have seen the dragon attempt to take
control of the world several times through history, many of them
very anti-Semitic - a sign of the spirit behind them. While the
serpent hates Israel and expresses that outwardly through his
followers, the serpent is also very subtle, crafty and has great
cunning.
While he uses those with vocal and
outright hatred for Israel to create an enemy, he uses others to
try and "solve" the problems through greater governmental
controls. In a world where man lives by the rule of law and the
leaders can make the law whatever they desire without the
foundation of Biblical morals, the desired global control can be
taken through the chaos begun by that same hater of mankind. He
offers the proud promises of wealth, control and favor of the
masses, the same temptations offered to Yeshua after his 40 days
in the wilderness. But what he rebuked, a man will soon accept
and most of the world will love him because he will be looked
upon to resolve the issues that plague humanity that are
developing right now. I believe his working is the
mystery of iniquity spoken of by Paul.
Financial collapse caused by greed and
guided to bring about a desired end will ultimately lead to a
global financial control of a cashless society where technology
allows the implementation of the mark of the beast, such as
RFID tattoo ink thanks to Somark. With RFID readers going up
in businesses around the modern world, transition to this would
be a snap, I'm sure the backbone for this is already in place
under the guise of greater security and ease of use. This
western force seen in the revived Roman Empire will rise out of
the financial collapse to offer the solution that will turn
those who accept it into indentured servants and those who don't
into outcasts of society.
So ultimately I believe that God's
timing for the end is laid out in prophecy and since Israel is
God's prophetic timepiece as laid out in Daniel 9:27, the
completion of her judgment periods will mark the time that the
70th week can begin. That the completion of the 14,000 days ends
on Rosh Hashanah and begins a new year further confirms to me
that this holds significance for the start of the 70th week on
October 5, 2005. What better time to begin the final seven years
prophesied of Israel to Daniel than at the transition to a new
year?!
I also believe the events described by
Herb Peters in
Recommendation 666 further speak to confirmation that we
are in this time as the support needed to implement Satan's week
following God's week beginning 1 year and 3 months earlier.
Points against the Metatonic cycle:
If there is a cycle of that many days,
perhaps it is all in God's plan that way and regardless of our trying to fix the
distortion of the solar system, that everything is
still running on the original timeline? Should the adjustments of our calendar
to match the moon matter? Or should we still go with a
360-day
prophetic year regardless?
The answer determines whether the 70th week of Daniel is 2520 days or 2550 days.
Does Yom Kippur have to mark the end of the 70th week? Or could it mark a time
just 30 days after the first resurrection and 15 days before the marriage supper
of the Lamb where the
sheep-goat
judgment takes place?

Should Rosh Hashanah of 2012 mark the end of the 70th week of Daniel, or a "19-year
metatonic cycle devised by an Athenian to reconcile the lunar and solar years?"
If you think about it, Rosh Hashanah isn't celebrated a month late every now and
then. Why then, would we add a month to the seven year period? I'm currently
leaning toward
Yom Kippur representing the
sheep-goat judgments, and the
abomination of desolation happening 1230 days after the beginning of the 70th
week on
October 5, 2005. That would put the abomination of desolation on February
16, 2009 with 1290 days to go before the end of the 70th week. For more
