Thought: Voice of the Spirit Realm

Have you ever had a thought and wondered to
yourself where it came from?If you answered yes, this shows a very real truth that you have personal
experience with. You have received a thought, or idea, from a spiritual entity
other than yourself. It happens all the time in conversing with other people.
Someone is on a totally different train of thought that throws you off your
thoughts. But what if some of those thoughts were not all yours? This Bible
study and look at history will, I pray, open your eyes to some truths that
enable you to better see in a more spiritual way and how your life has been
influenced personally by the spirit realm, that place we cannot sense with our
five senses.
There were two thoughts in your head. The thought you first have is foreign
to you. Enough so that the second thought is one of perplexity. The voice
behind that second thought is your own. If you don't understand or get the
first thought that came to you, how could it be your own if you haven't
experienced it or the thought was contrary to your normal thoughts? This by no
means takes responsibility off our shoulders for our actions or whether we
choose to agree or disagree with those thoughts just like in normal
conversation with each other. We are all spirits in temporal bodies of flesh.
God gave us free will to choose what we align ourselves with and we do have
our own thoughts as well since we are all spirits in bodies of flesh. The
Bible says our hearts are wicked, and without filling them with the love of
God, it's very easy to make the bad choices because a lot of the time we're
focused on ourselves more than others and God's love is completely selfless.
This is why it's very important to guard our minds and hearts with the
Truth of God's Word. That is the
foundation this study is built upon, and personal experience to which I'm sure
you will be able to relate to. So let the Word of God resonate in your spirit
as you read the Bible. The stories in the Bible are all connected to their
Creator, Yeshua the Christ. He is the Word of God and the whole of scripture
is written of Him. He is the center of Bible prophecy, and our blessed hope
for the future. Without Him nothing would exist. He spoke the universe into
existence and
science is confirming this.

Milk & Meat: Carnal &
Spiritual
1 Corinthians 3:1-5 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto
spiritual,
but as unto carnal,
even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with
milk,
and not with meat:
for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For
ye are yet carnal:
for whereas there is among
you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as
men? For while one saith,
I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is
Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the
Lord gave to every man?
Hebrews 5:8-14 Though he
[Yeshua] were a Son,
yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made
perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them
that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of
Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered,
seeing ye are dull of hearing. For every one that useth
milk is unskilful in the
word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
But strong meat
belongeth to them that are
of full age, even
those who by reason of use have
their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Isaiah 28:9-10
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom
shall he make to understand doctrine?
them that are weaned from the
milk, and drawn from the breasts.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line,
line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
I pray with this study that the awareness of the spiritual increases your
ability to discern the thoughts of your mind and what of those thoughts are of
God. This requires guidance of what is of God, which is where the Bible
becomes our foundation. The enemy has your destruction in mind, are you armed
spiritually for battle daily? Guard your mind and thoughts with God's Word.

Romans 8
Ephesians 6:10-20 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his
might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of
the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on
the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield
of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always
with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for
me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth
boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am
an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to
speak.
The Spirit Realm
The first thing to define would be the spirit realm. This is the realm
which we cannot perceive. We cannot smell, taste, touch, hear, or see it. We
can perceive its influence and see those things, but we cannot experience this
spiritual realm with our physical senses. So how can it have a voice? That
"voice" is our thought.
Hebrews 11:1-3
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith
we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that
things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
An example of this is the CD-R disc. If you weigh a blank blank disc
and then burn a bunch of data to it, does the disc weigh more after burning
it? This is the exact same thing with the spiritual realm. We cannot weigh it
because we cannot perceive it. How do you measure what does not exist
according to all your senses? This is how evolution has corrupted the youth of
today. By focusing solely on those things which can be perceived with the five
senses and removing the spiritual as possible, those children grow up without an
understanding of reality and who they are in God's creation. Our faith in the
Word of God is the evidence of the realm we cannot perceive.
Hebrews 11:1 It is because of the Spirit of God that we believe and
our belief is the evidence of things not seen. This is why persecuted
Christians are such good witnesses. Our peace comes from a place that much of
the world denies because they can't see, feel, taste, touch, or smell it.
1 Corinthians 2:9-16
But as it is written, Eye hath not
seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things
which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them
unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep
things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit
of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but
the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,
but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words
which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the
things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can
he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is
spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who
hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the
mind of Christ.
What this is saying is that we have no understanding of the things of God
outside of those things being revealed to us by His Spirit within us. Our
spirits alone only know what they have experienced and we can't experience
what we cannot perceive. Therefore, the only way to truly understand, is for
the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of God to reveal them to us.
But if we can't perceive the spiritual realm, how can the Holy Spirit
reveal them to us? That is where thought comes in. Some thoughts that
you have are your own thoughts. Some thoughts come from others either spoken
or written. However, there
is nothing new under the sun and the spirit realm can impress thoughts upon
you as well. What thoughts you accept and what thoughts you rebuke (reject and
turn away from) are the choices you make that determine how your spirit
aligns. Either you align with God's spirit, or you don't. There's thousands of
options out there, but you're either with God or you're not. It really is that
black and white.
John 14:12-18
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that
will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any
thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I
will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may
abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;
for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you
comfortless: I will come to you.
This scripture shows that there are two spirits, one is our own and the
other is the Holy Spirit. When we obey
God's Laws, which are all shadows of love and confirm our reliance on Him,
the Spirit can guide us in understanding further. We're told to love God above
all else and to love our neighbor as ourselves. These demonstrate selfless
love. There is no "what's in it for me" involved.
1 Corinthians 12:1-3
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you
ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols,
even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man
speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no
man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
Wonder if you're filled with the Spirit? Can you say Jesus is Lord? Do you
believe it? This understanding was not our own, but by the Word of God. We
can't believe it except by the Spirit which draws us.
John 6:44,45
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw
him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the
prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath
heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.John 6:53-71
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except
ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in
you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I
will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood
is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in
me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the
Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread
which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are
dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. These things
said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his
disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can
hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he
said unto them, Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the
Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that
quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that
believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that
believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I
unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of
my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and
walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go
away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast
the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that
Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen
you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of
Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
We love Him because He first loved us and He knew us before we took the
time to know Him. He has chosen us who believe in Him
from the foundation of the world to be His bride. God is outside of time, so it's hard for us
to wrap our heads around sometimes, but He has already chosen us and those who
will not choose Him will not believe or be able to say that Yeshua is the Son
of God. In fact, watch how mad some people get when you say it out loud.
That's a sign of the times. Their spirit has chosen against God's love and so
they are repulsed by His very name. He has also declared Himself the only way
to heaven and the Father, a big no-no in today's politically correct world.
See more about possible future crack-downs on those who claim sole ownership
to the truth in the name of peace and security, the
Alliance of Civilizations, another sign of the times. What is so amazing
is that it is violent people's own pride and rejection of God that causes
them to turn violent against true believers and followers of Christ's way of
love and persecute them for their belief! Look at what is happening in the
Middle East to Christians in Africa and some major Muslim nations. Now the
"everyone worships the same god but has different names for him" crowd is
also working to the destruction of those who claim their way is the only
way.
So what are the fruits (qualities,
result of the presence of) of the Spirit which we should follow?
Galatians 5:22-26
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that
are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we
live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be
desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
I was just going to post a portion of Romans 8, but wow, just read the
whole thing. You'll get the idea. The Holy Spirit in us quickens us in death
so that we are made alive when we are taken to meet Him in the clouds at
the harpazo.
Romans 8
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ
Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law
of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through
the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for
sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be
fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For
they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they
that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be
carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not
subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in
the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit,
if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the
Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is
dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But
if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he
that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by
his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are
debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the
flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of
the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of
God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of
bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby
we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs
of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that
we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of
this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall
be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for
the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made
subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him
[Lucifer] who hath
subjected the same in hope,
[vain hope, hopeless]
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of
corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know
that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the
Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption,
to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope:
but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet
hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with
patience wait for it. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of
the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the
will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that
love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom
he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of
his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover
whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he
also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What
shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall
he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to
the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that
condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who
is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it
is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as
sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that
neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor
things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
Vanity is selfish pride. This is how Lucifer fell and indeed it was Lucifer
who deceived Eve to question what God said about the fruit of the knowledge of
good and evil. These things are contrary to the Spirit of God.The Dark Side
1 Timothy 4:1-9
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and
doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience
seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain
from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them
which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and
nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For
it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. If thou put the
brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of
Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine,
whereunto thou hast attained. But refuse profane and old wives' fables,
and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth
little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the
life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is a faithful
saying and worthy of all acceptation.
In understanding how the Holy Spirit can influence us by speaking thought
into our mind, we must also recognize that our thoughts can also be dictated
by those in the spirit realm who are against God and trying to separate us
from God. These are the seducing spirits. Some people, like murderers,
rapists, and the like, have aligned themselves more with the voices of
darkness. They hear the thoughts being spoken to them giving them ideas of
things to do or say. Some, like channelers, ask these voices of thought for
power and understanding. There's a whole dark side of the rich and powerful
which gives into these occult groups. I believe they are the ones who are
guiding the worlds
governments and secret projects.
The suggestions of these seducing spirits are also a part of our everyday life
through the messages we get listening to music or watching television.
Regarding the musical aspect, I suggest you watch
They Sold
Their Souls For Rock N' Roll for more clear understanding of how the
dark side has used music to really affect change in the mindset of millions
around the world, many times without them even realizing it. Just examine
the fruits of the sex, drugs & rock n' roll era.Can you see how easily spirits could guide someone who just obeys thoughts
believing them to be their own? Especially if their world-view is built around
their thought life and they accept all thoughts as their own? Look how the
majority of those that believe in an afterlife view the afterlife. It would be
very easy to be deceived without understanding the reality of
the afterlife according to
the Bible. This would lead some to seek out spirit guides to converse with
the dead, etc. Something the Bible explicitly states not to do. There are
extremes, but some are more subtle. Fortunately, God revealed in His Word the
other side of the spirit realm and how that manifests itself through people.
This makes the distinction between those motivated by the flesh over the
spirit.
Galatians 5:17-21 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against
the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that
ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the
Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh
are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry,
witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders,
drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell
you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they
which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
As Christians, we must guard our minds at all times to the influence of the
spirit realm that plays to our desires of the flesh. These are the desire for
wealth, power, influence under selfish pretexts. Just as Lucifer, the signs
are clear. Selfish pride that puffs up leads to falling away from love. God is
love, so where we align our own spirits (who have free will to accept or
rebuke the thoughts we have) is where we will be for eternity. If we align
with selfless love and those things taught in the Bible, and we will have
accepted Christ's sacrifice for our transgressions of His Law, then we will
remain in His Love for all eternity. We need to fill ourselves up with Christ
to overflowing so that He is the only influence we allow.
You
cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself
one. | James A. Froude (1818 -
1894)
In order to know something, you must make it your own and imitate it. This
is what actors do to prepare for a role they are going to play. They must
study it to act like it. That is what God's 10 Commandments are,
shadows of love. God is love. To
obey His Laws is to walk in His ways. He said that if we love Him, then we
will obey Him.
John 15:9-15
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye
in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my
love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his
love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain
in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That
ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man
than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my
friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth
I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord
doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard
of my Father I have made known unto you.
He also revealed the mystery of His Laws by explaining how they were
shadows of His love. On just two commandments hang all the Laws of the
prophets. Love God with all your heart, and love your
neighbor as yourself. That is the foundation of Christ for His
church, obedience to His ways of love for Him and each other. That is the
way of the God who created you and loves you with an everlasting love. However, if we align our spirit with ourselves, fulfilling every desire
regardless of others, we will find ourselves further and further from God's
presence with less of His love until cast into the lake of fire.
This is the complete
absence of God's love for all eternity.
I encourage you to read the Bible more so that you know better what
thoughts are of God and what thoughts are not. Then you can rebuke those which
are contrary to God's Word and they must leave. Eventually, as you fill
yourself more with God's Word, the thoughts that are contrary to God will stop
coming into your mind. Do you have thoughts of guilt over your repented past?
Have you rebuked them in the name of Yeshua? Mean it and do it. Ask God to
replace those thoughts with His Word for you because when He forgives, it is
never remembered. That means the voice reminding you is contrary to God's Word
for you. In fact, Satan is called the great accuser. It is Christ who stands
as your advocate before the throne of God day and night. Read the Bible and
soak in His ways.
It directly
affects your near future! God wants a personal relationship with each
of us right now, that's why I'm writing this.
The influence of negative spirits is why Christ cast out demons from
people. In today's society of blindness to the spiritual realm many dabble
in practices that invite evil spirits to cohabitate and influence a person.
Divination and such practices are forbidden in scripture for our protection
as with most warnings given in the Bible.
Luke 11:24-30
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh
through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will
return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth
it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven
other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell
there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. And
it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the
company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that
bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather,
blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. And when the
people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil
generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but
the sign of Jonas the prophet. For as Jonas was a sign unto the
Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
Here Yeshua speaks of
possession of spirits in a man. If the Holy Spirit can speak to us in
that still, small voice then could not also these wicked spirits looking
for a home also? When Christ cast out demons, His advice was to go and
sin no more. The devil walks about like a lion looking for someone to
devour. It is in this spirit that his followers also search for those
that will subject themselves to these demons. It also shows the
connections unclean spirits make to those that allow them to remain.Have you ever wondered how
psychics can know about family history of those they do not know? First
take note that these spirits are not mortal and were around before man
was created. We cannot see, taste, touch, smell or hear them usually yet
they are there, listening and watching all we do. Channelers and
diviners just communicate with these and what we think nobody else knows
is shared as if they are actually talking to the dead, something the
Bible makes clear is not possible. These psychics have just developed
their communication with the spirit realm. The Bible also clearly states
we are not to dabble in these things. Why? The Truth of the matter is
that wicked spirits are out to deceive and destroy us, leading us away
from God. We live maybe 70 years and have that much experience or
less. Common sense dictates that we are not all-knowing and so playing
in a realm we don't fully understand with enemies we cannot perceive is
not a wise choice. Indeed many lives have been ruined and eternity's
changed because it seems to work. We need to trust in God and read His
Word so we know the Truth with which to combat the lies.
The Light Side
1 Kings 19:9-13 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the
word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here,
Elijah? And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for
the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars,
and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they
seek my life, to take it away. And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the
mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and
strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the
LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an
earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the
earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the
fire a still small voice. And it was
so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went
out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a
voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
Where was God? Not in the manifestations of the physical, but in the still
small voice. If we want to hear God, is it possible with all the commotion we
put into our five senses? Can you focus well on a quiet conversation in a
football game? The television provides a constant stream of noise, very
distracting and drowns out the still small voice. Always busy? Too many
responsibilities on your mind? Pastor Harvey Buck of
Crosswalk Ministries, my home church, did a really good series on being in
stillness. We are to be in rest as Christians. This doesn't mean no
responsibilities, but it does mean let God lead and trust in Him.
Hebrews 4 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his
rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the
gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not
profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn
in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were
finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain
place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from
all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my
rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they
to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he
limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it
is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if
Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of
another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his
own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore
to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of
unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents
of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his
sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we
have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed
into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of
our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet
without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
And when Christ was tempted, He declared the Word of God.
Matthew 4:1-11 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be
tempted
of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was
afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If
thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But
he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the
devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the
temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself
down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:
and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy
foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again,
Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up
into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of
the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will
I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus
unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship
the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth
him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Yeshua did not sin and He knew His Word. He is the Word made flesh,
therefore sinless since sin is transgression of the Law and the Word never
changes.
Matthew 6:19-34 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth
corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth
corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where
your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of
the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall
be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of
darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is
that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate
the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise
the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammonG3126
[wealth].
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall
eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold
the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather
into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better
than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his
stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of
the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say
unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of
these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is,
and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye
of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?
or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all
these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that
ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God,
and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take
thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil
thereof.
Matthew 8:19,20
And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow
thee whithersoever thou goest. And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have
holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not
where to lay his head.
The Creator of the universe would love to have a personal relationship with
you. He loves you with an everlasting love. He speaks in the still, small
voice that is so often drowned out in the hustle of modern life. I believe
that's part of the Babylonian system we're supposed to get out of.
Revelation 18
Get quiet and alone, listening in prayer and worship.
Focus your attention on Yeshua alone. Un-busy yourself, your flesh will fight
it, but your soul is thirsting for it.
Matthew 6:1-18 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them:
otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the
hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory
of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou
doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine
alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall
reward thee openly. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the
hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the
corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto
you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into
thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in
secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they
think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye
therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have
need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be
thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive
our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
For if ye forgive men their
trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye
forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad
countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men
to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when
thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not
unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father,
which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
I pray the above brought to new light
what may have already been heard before. Ask Christ into your heart. You don't
have to know how, just let Him know you're willing. Even if you're already a
believer, ask for more of Christ in your life. Give yourself to His direction,
get quiet, pray, and listen. Being in the spirit is when there's a million
things going on, but none that have your attention are in the material
world. Focus on Christ and read the Word of God for ultimate guidance. Keep
getting to know Him and develop your personal relationship with the Creator of
the universe!
Understanding the source of your thoughts is critical. When you see that
not all thoughts are your own and you want to do God's will because you love
Him, you realize that you can shut off those thoughts in your mind by sharing
with them the Word of God. When Satan was tempting Christ, Yeshua used the
Word of God to rebuke what Satan said and that was that. Let us take the same
attitude when we are attacked spiritually. Understand and know God's ways and
reject the works of the flesh, which are at odds with the fruits of the
Spirit.
Galatians 5:19-26 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft,
hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings,
murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things
shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the
flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us
also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking
one another, envying one another.
Perhaps in your prayer time, you find it difficult to get past all the
swarms of thoughts going through your head. I know I have that problem many
times. A suggestion for you... God loves you with an everlasting love and He
isn't afraid to let you know. When you quiet yourself to pray, every thought
that comes to mind, tell it to stop. You have control over whether you listen
or interject. Focus on Yeshua and interrupt the thoughts until you hear one
thought come through, "I love you with an everlasting love." You know you are
connected with Him and just thank Him and talk to Him. He loves that! One more
thing to keep in mind. I've heard that the thoughts we have are like trumpets
for all to hear in heaven. What are you trumpeting before God and the angels?
Who's thoughts are you listening to?
"You
are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where
your thoughts take you."

Tripartite simply means three part and an axiom is
just a logic progression to prove a point. So I've just
strung a few together here to see if you can get the point of where
we're going. I could write a whole 200
page paperback about this by telling lots of stories and fluffing it up,
but there's a war between good and
evil and we're kind of losing, so it's probably better if we just cut
out all the fluff and get right to the point.
Tripartite AxiomsGod is
tripartite Father, Son and Holy Spirit. IF we were made in God's
image, THEN we are tripartite Soul, Body and Spirit. When God heals us, it affects all three. When God asks for obedience, it means from all three. When God asks for worship, it means from all three.
When we sin, it affects all three Soul, Body and Spirit. When we disobey, it affects all three Soul, Body and Spirit. When we set ourselves above God, it affects all three Soul, Body and
Spirit. When we are commanded to bear each other's burdens, it means all three. When we are commanded to lift the yokes of oppression, it means all
three. When we are commanded to feed the hungry, it means all three.
When we give food to the hungry we are feeding their Body. When we give Godly instruction to the hungry we are feeding their mind
and Soul. When we give blessings and prayers to the hungry we are feeding their
Spirit. When we give drink to the thirsty we are satiating their Body. When we give pure truth to the thirsty, we are feeding their mind and
Soul. When we pour out on them the Living Water in us, we are feeding their
Spirit.
We are vessels of honor, committed to the service of God. We contain all kinds of things that can be used for His purposes. We hold strength, money, time, knowledge, experience, wisdom, faith,
love, joy, peace, patience. Some are physical, some are mental, some are spiritual. All are to be
shared. The easiest to understand and do is the Body. Even the world is good at disaster relief and feeding the hungry.
Even the wicked love their children and feed them good things.
The sneaky one is the Soul and the Mind. Satan always wants us to spend all our energies on that one.
Teach them, train them, argue about philosophies, speculate about
hypotheticals. That is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
The world is really good at writing books and speaking many words. Of
that there is no end.The rarest one, the realest one, the most impactful one is the Spirit. Our battle is NOT against flesh and blood or the mind it's against
spiritual rulers. Spiritual rulers that try to steal, kill and destroy.
You can starve the Spirit by overfeeding the Body and Soul.
Second Thoughts Are Real
WebMD
(August 21, 2007) - The a little
voice in your head that warns you not to do something you were just
about to do is real, brain researchers say. Well, maybe not the
voice. But researchers now say last-minute second thoughts come from
a specific part of the brain. A different area of the brain allows
us to act voluntarily. That's free will. This is "free won't,"
suggest Marcel Brass, PhD of Germany's Max Planck Institute and
Patrick Haggard, PhD, of England's University College London. "Many
people recognize the 'little voice inside the head' that stops you
from doing something, like pressing the 'send' button on an angry
email," Haggard says in a news release. "Our study identifies the
brain processes involved in that last-minute rethink about what we
are doing." Brass and Haggard find that a brain region just above
and between your eyes -- the dorsal fronto-median cortex or dFMC --
is specifically designed to let you pull back from doing something
you were just about to do. University of Pennsylvania researcher
Martha Farah, PhD, says the findings have major implications. Farah
was not involved in the study. "It is very important to identify the
circuits that enable 'free won't' because of the many psychiatric
disorders for which self-control problems figure prominently -- from
attention deficit disorder to substance dependence and various
personality disorders," Farah says in a news release. In their
study, Brass and Haggard hooked up 15 healthy young adults to
functional MRI machines that did real-time scans of their brain
activity. The participants were asked to decide to push a button at
times of their own choosing. Some of the time the participants were
asked to decide at the last minute not to push the button. Brain
scans taken when the participants actually pushed the button were
different from those taken when the subjects restrained themselves
from pushing the button. This self-control came at a cost. The
subjects reported feeling frustrated when they did not push the
button as they had intended to do. That fit with their brain scans;
a part of the brain linked to feelings of frustration (the anterior
ventral insula) lit up along with the dFMC "free-won't" brain
region. Interestingly, some of the study participants were less
likely to refrain from pushing the button than others. These
subjects had relatively weak dFMC activity, while those with better
self-control had stronger dFMC activity. "This could be a factor in
why some individuals are impulsive, while others are reluctant to
act," Haggard says. Brass and Haggard report their findings in the
Aug. 22 issue of the Journal of Neuroscience.
