Esther 9:1-4
Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;) The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people. And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them. For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. It commemorates a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination. The story of Purim is told in the Biblical book of Esther. The villain of the story is Haman, an arrogant, egotistical advisor to the king. Haman hated Mordecai because Mordecai refused to bow down to Haman, so Haman plotted to destroy the Jewish people. In a speech that is all too familiar to Jews, Haman told the king, "There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your realm. Their laws are different from those of every other people's, and they do not observe the king's laws; therefore it is not befitting the king to tolerate them." Esther 3:8. The king gave the fate of the Jewish people to Haman, to do as he pleased to them. Haman planned to exterminate all of the Jews.

Purim is celebrated on the 14th day of Adar, which is usually in March. (March 10, 2009) The 13th of Adar is the day that Haman chose for the extermination of the Jews, and the day that the Jews battled their enemies for their lives. On the day afterwards, the 14th, they celebrated their survival. In cities that were walled in the time of Joshua, Purim is celebrated on the 15th of the month, because the book of Esther says that in Shushan (a walled city), deliverance from the massacre was not complete until the next day. The 15th is referred to as Shushan Purim.


Jewish Year 5769 : sunset March 9, 2009 - nightfall March 10, 2009

This would mark the time, 22 days after the dragon first went after the Jews at the abomination of desolation on February 16, 2009 according to the studies I've been doing. (This also happens to be Presidents Day) This falls within the time that Israel would be taken into the wilderness and protected from the dragon for the remaining 1260 days. This would be a good time of year to be celebrating being saved from a planned complete annihilation by an enemy, the dragon! This would both fall in that 30 day time frame and be considered a cutting short of the great tribulation. Interesting that, if this timing is correct, verse 22 talks about the shortened days and it's 22 days after the abomination of desolation.

Matthew 24:22
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Israel is labeled as God's elect too. Isaiah 45:4 What this means is that Purim, celebrated by the Jews for their salvation from complete destruction, is 22 days after their attempted complete destruction by the dragon at the abomination of desolation. it's within the 30 day time period allotted by the exact day prophecies, but it's also shortened. So on Purim, 2009 Israel would be taken into the wilderness on wings of a great eagle and saved from complete destruction.

Another interesting thing I just discovered that could be connected to this timing and the heavens.

Matthew 24:29
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

If the cut off at Purim is truly significant, then "immediately after the tribulation of those days," the time of Jacob's trouble, would be the celestial signs of the sixth seal that herald the day of the Lord. Many take the "tribulation of those days" to mean the whole time of great tribulation, however taking Matthew 24:15-29 in context the tribulation of those days is focused on Israel in Judea connected with Daniel 12:1 and Jeremiah 30:4-7.

Revelation 12:13-16 also speaks to Israel being saved out of persecution by Lucifer upon being cast down to the earth and I believe this marks the escape of the 1/3 remnant of Israel, Zechariah 13:8,9, into the wilderness to a place prepared for them. It is here that the 144,000 are sealed and protected through the pouring out of God's wrath. Revelation 7 shows this along with a vision of multitudes beyond counting from every nation, tribe and tongue in heaven following the unknown harpazo of the bride of Christ and just before the seven trumpets are handed out and blown in Revelation 8. Here are just some interesting side notes I found in searching for other information that may be connected or may not. I'm hardly an expert, but I wanted to put the information here in case there is any significance.

Mystery of Hebrew Language

"The Hebrew alphabet is composed of 22 letters. The last book of the Bible (Revelation) has twenty-two chapters. Combining twenty (Kaph, which means "holding or reaching hand" or "redemption") with two (Beth, which means "house"), we get twenty-two (22), which represents "an active hand with purpose in my house." The number twenty-two (22) can also mean "banned or exiled to another world." Jacob was separated from Isaac for twenty-two years. Joseph was separated from his father for twenty-two years."

Another quote from website: "God’s Revelation should not be a business to make a lot of money because truth revealed does not belong to me. I share what God has led me to discover for free. I do not seek to merchandize the good news of God’s coming kingdom or commercialize the wondrous insights I have gained by applying scientific thinking to the Bible. I simply wish to share what I have learned with everyone willing to listen. Many violate this principle, of course, as you probably already know."

The following information I found while searching for a 22 link after the previous website. It has some interesting thoughts about scripture and how God's fingerprints are all over it. Acts 17:11


The Bible Wheel: The number 22

"The Number 22 is the Number of Revelation. It governs the overall structure of Scripture, from the Twenty-two Spokes of the Bible Wheel to the Twenty-two Spokes of the Inner Wheel of Revelation.

The divine integration is astounding. The Number 22 - the Number that unites the entire body of Scripture - is also the value of the fundamental Hebrew word (Yachad, Unite, S# 3162) used in Psalm 86 above! Yet there is more, the phrase "unite my heart" is numerically equivalent for the Hebrew word for the Wheel, Gilgal. We have a pair of identities:

Think about this! The Number 22 unites the entire Bible in the form of the Wheel, and the Wheel (Galgal = 66) unites the heart of all 66 Books of the Holy Bible, and all of this is united in the intrinsic alphanumeric structure of the Greek and Hebrew languages! Three Cycles of 22 Books united in One perfect Cirlce. Three and One (cf. 13 and the Unity Holograph). Divine perfection bursting forth! Glory to God in the highest!

Yet there is more. The words given in Isaiah 22 say that God shall commit the government into his hand. The word written is (B'Yado). It is formed from the word for a hand (Yod) prefixed with a Beyt and suffixed with a Vav. The Beyt (House) signifies the preposition in, with, or by. The Vav signifies the third person masculine possesive (his hand). The same construct occurs in Genesis 22.6, translated as "in his hand.""
