Is there a good reason why I believe we're in the end-times? In a word, YES! However, I'm well aware that my simply stating it does not make it so and I pray that throughout your search for Truth you guard your mind with the Word of God and don't take my word for anything without checking God's Word. I've tried to ensure I do just that in my research I present here.

Existence of Israel

You may have heard that Israel is Bible prophecy's "super sign" of the end-times. I'm in agreement with that. The biggest sign that the prophetic clock started ticking was the existence of Israel on May 14, 1948, when the State of Israel was born. The whole end-time scenario is dependent on Israel existing as a nation. For more on that, read the Bible study on Daniel's 70 Weeks.

Isaiah 66:6-8
A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies. Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Jews Returning To Israel (Aliyah) (May 14, 1948 - Present) - Note: As of May 2006, Israel now has the highest population of Jews in the world, for the first time since 70 AD. An interesting Bible study by Chuck Missler on Ezekiel's 430 days that shows Bible prophecy EXACTLY predicting the very day that Israel became a nation in 1948 and when they got Jerusalem in 1967! Leviticus 26:32-35
And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

Look at the real history of the physical state of Israel up until Israel became a nation again. It was desolate and few lived there. Now the "Palestinians" suddenly want the land. The spiritual state of Israel will be developed and led back to Yeshua through the great tribulation.

Leviticus 26:44-46
And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD. These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

God is not done with Israel. Even though they don't follow after the Messiah, for their sakes, God will not forget His covenant with their ancestors. But how does Israel becoming a nation again fit in with the timing of the end-times?

Matthew 24:32-42
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

The fig tree symbolizes Israel. On May 14, 1948 Israel sprouted forth leaves and has been growing ever since. This is Israel's prophesied reappearance.

• Earthquakes, in divers places
  • Sumatra quake's awesome power 9.3 temblor ripped 800-mile gash in Earth's crust (May 20, 2005) - The monster earthquake that ravaged Sumatra and the Andaman Islands in December, killing 300,000 people in a tsunami that crossed the entire Indian Ocean, was of such epic proportions that even scientists accustomed to puzzling out the complexity of Earth's behavior are awed. They warn that similar disastrous earthquakes may lie ahead. Consider the almost unbelievable effects of the quake revealed by the latest analyses:

It is nature at its most formidable, and it has been humbling to all of us who have studied it," said Thorne Lay, director of the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics at UC Santa Cruz, who organized the scientific teams that conducted the seismic autopsy. "Even among seismologists, we call this a monster earthquake." Roger Bilham, a leading geophysicist at the University of Colorado, saw the quake as a warning: "This should be a wake-up call that conservative seismic forecasts may not serve society well," Bilham said.

Psalm 83

Unholy Conspiracy - The new militant President of Iran has declared Psalm 83 and doesn't even know it! He has stated that his goal is to, “Wipe Israel off the face of the earth and that they be remembered no more!” With nuclear weapons in the process of being made in Iran, the goal of this evil ruler is to attack Israel and the “great satan” (the United States). With the violent, terrorist Palestinian government headed by the Hamas party now in power of the Gaza Strip, Iraq on the verge of a civil war, and with Israel’s Prime Minister laying in a coma and Israel headed into national elections soon, the entire Middle East is in a major crisis and could soon reach a boiling point! Psalm 83 tells us of this unholy conspiracy! Many Bible teachers agree that this text has not yet been fulfilled. This particular group has not yet been brought into an alignment with this degree of hatred. The passage does not say “the peoples of the land of the north,” nor does it say “Germany.” Psalm 83 describes vividly a troubling alignment set against a wearied Jewish state.

While Rabbis Make Call to Pray Psalm 83, Ancient Book of Psalms Found in Ireland Bog, Open to Same Psalm (July 26, 2006) - Irish archaeologists today, confirmed an incredible find by a construction worker who was digging up a bog near Ireland's midlands, last week, when "just beyond the bucket of his bulldozer, he spotted something." This brings to mind what Ezekiel 38:8; 18-23 says about the armies of Gog/Magog that come from the North to attack Israel. God "will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone." We could be very well seeing the beginning of the Gog/Magog invasion. If anyone has been reading my news mailings, you know the alliance is already there and strong between all the players in the Gog/Magog invasion, and now with Israel defending herself, the ones' prophesied to attack Israel are furious. Iran, Turkey, Russia, Syria, and the generic Middle East Muslim community along with many here in America are blaming everything on Israel. Here in Seattle today, a Muslim man just shot up a Jewish Federation killing one woman and injuring five others. He said he was angry at Israel. Anyone not seeing what is going on better take off the blinders. It's time to wake up! I don't know if this is really it, but I've been presenting the same information that makes me think it is.

Is it all just coincidence? I don't think so. How perfectly Psalm 83 fits into what is going on, even naming names, validates it. This kind of timing and world publicity is God's provision. We're seeing more and more Biblical ancient text in the news, and with the timing of this one and world events, not to mention it was found opened to Psalm 83, I just can't accept that as mere coincidence. The earth and solar system along with all the laws that govern physics didn't just coincidentally happen. What timing to bring to the world's attention what God dictated would happen through His prophets thousands of years ago. For more on the planned nature of creation...

Gaza Pullout Reason in Zephaniah 2:4? (July 30, 2005)

A potential reason that God may have wanted the Jews out of Gaza?...

• Israel's Gaza withdrawal must be only a first step Gaza Withdrawal (August 15, 2005) - Today, 15 August, is the much-anticipated day that Ariel Sharon set for the withdrawal of Israel from Gaza. It is a day that a great many people around the world predicted would never come - and which many Israelis believed should never come. Yet this day has arrived and, so far at least, the transfer of power has been accomplished with mercifully less violence and anguish than had been widely feared. Tributes should be paid where they are due. First to the Israeli prime minister. In December 2003, when he made the improbable announcement that he intended to hand control of Gaza to the Palestinians, Mr Sharon received little credit for his decision. At worst, he was accused of a cynical propaganda ploy; at best he was chided for promising something he could not deliver. He pursued the withdrawal from Gaza with the same dogged single- mindedness that he has applied in the past to other less noble endeavours. In the process, he lost a part of his ruling coalition; more recently he lost his senior Cabinet minister and potential Likud rival, Benjamin Netanyahu. Yet he persisted, soliciting support from the Knesset and Israeli public opinion when his own cabinet faltered. To have stayed in power and kept his promise is a considerable political feat. Tribute should be paid, second, to the Israeli operation, military and civilian, which has been conducted with exemplary discipline and restraint. Final preparations were completed yesterday in good order. Israeli troops sealed off the territory occupied since 1967; it halted public transport into the region and placed guards on Israeli settlements, leaving open the way out, but not the way in. Palestinian police fanned out across Gaza and began their patrols. And third, credit must go to the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, for the patience and moderation he has shown in the face of sporadic provocations and for the way in which anti-Israeli violence has subsided in the months since his election to succeed Yassir Arafat. It is too early to say that the withdrawal has been accomplished peacefully. The most intransigent Israeli settlers may have left their fiercest resistance until last. • Israel: Gaza pullout moving quickly Gaza Withdrawal (August 17, 2005) - Unarmed Israeli troops and police went door to door at the settlements, appealing to settlers to leave and threatening to move them by force. Some soldiers convinced protesters to leave after embracing them and joining them in song and prayer. At an evening briefing, Maj. Gen. Dan Harel, whose troops are carrying out the evacuation, declared the operation a "victory for us all," including soldiers, police and the settlers. The situation was still "touch and go," Harel said, but the argument that "we are one people" would win over remaining resisters. Although there were few reports of violence Wednesday, a Jewish settler in the West Bank grabbed a gun from an Israeli guard and shot dead three Palestinians in the Shilo settlement, Israeli police said. Two Palestinians were wounded. A Jewish man from the nearby Shvut Rahel settlement was arrested. Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon condemned the attack. His office said in a written statement, "The prime minister views with great severity the Jewish terrorist actions directed against innocent Palestinians out of the warped thought that out of this action the disengagement could be brought to a halt." more...

Zephaniah 2:3-7
Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger. For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant. And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks. And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.

"And Ashkelon left in ruins" Ashkelon is one of the original five cities of Philistia (Palestine) and is still called Ashkelon today and is in the Gaza strip. Ahkelon is a beautiful seaport city in mid Gaza just north of Gaza City and just south of Ashdod on the Mediterranean Sea. "At midday Ashdod will be emptied and Ekron uprooted. Woe to you who live by the sea, O Kerethite people; the word of the Lord is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines." Ashdod is another sea port city north of Ashkelon and west of Ekron. Ekron lies inland and is just west of Beth Shemesh (Hebron). The Kerethite (NIV) people, or Cherethites (KJV) are a tribe from Philistia that inhabited the Gaza region spoken of in Ezekiel 25:16; NIV "..therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am about to stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethites and destroy those along the coast." It hasn't happened as yet, but, as Gaza is being abandoned, the Kerethites (Palestinians) are being cut off. We are watching God gather His people back to Israel. (Aliyah, Kumah) He is causing them to 'abandon' Gaza. (The pullout) He is gathering the remnants of Baal to Gaza. Nayef Hawatmeh, head of DFLP is returning to set up again. And I am certain as the days pass and the pullout is complete you will see all sorts of terrorists heading to Gaza. Keep watching.

Dividing the Land

Zechariah 14:1-3
Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Could we soon see the dividing of Israel for peace? If that were to happen, Israelis would have to move to Israeli areas or risk falling prey to their new Islamic neighbors. We know what has happened in Gaza with the pullout. How long would a Jew last remaining there? Their houses will be rifled and I'm sure women will get ravished if they were to remain. But half is described as remaining. This means that it can't be the time of Jacob's trouble because Christ makes it clear that running to the mountains is the only safe place to be. Oil in Israel?

Genesis 49:25
Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

So is this treasure of darkness and hidden riches of secret places oil in Israel? It appears that it may be. Oil has been found in Israel, which could change the whole scope of things. Joel Rosenburg, author of The Ezekiel Option, writes in his story about Israel discovering oil which causes the economy to blossom.

• Ginko, Lapidot discover oil at Dead Sea drilling site (September 19, 2006) - Oil spurted Monday at a depth of about 1,800 meters during drilling near the Dead Sea. The drilling was planned only to reach 2,000 meters. Drilling partners, Ginko Oil Exploration and Lapidot (20 percent) are expected to carry out a series of tests in the coming days in order to estimate the quantity of oil found in the drilling, and its value. It should be noted that crude oil, about 120,000 barrels, has already been extracted from this same drilling site in 1995. Drilling was renewed following the rise in oil prices, and as a first stage in preparation for drilling in Ginko's licensed drilling areas in the Dead Sea, particularly in the area of Zerach. more...
• Israeli company discovers oil at drilling site near Dead Sea (October 5, 2006) - An Israeli company has discovered a small amount of oil at a drilling site near the Dead Sea, raising hopes that the Jewish state could one day join its regional neighbors as a petroleum producer. Initial tests have found that the site would yield between 100 to 150 barrels daily, said Eli Tannenbaum, geologist for the Ginko oil exploration company. While this is minuscule by global standards - No. 1 producer Saudi Arabia produces 9 million barrels a day - Tannenbaum said there are signs that larger amounts of crude are nearby. (AP)

• Cruise 'is Christ' of Scientology - TOM Cruise is the new “Christ” of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion. The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been “chosen” to spread the word of his faith throughout the world. And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion. A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the church’s top levels, said: “Tom has been told he is Scientology’s Christ-like figure. “Like Christ, he’s been criticized for his views. But future generations will realize he was right.”
• The Secret The book - This is a good example of one of the many deceptions coming which cater to the desire for physical things. It is discussed on ProphecyNewsWatch and that is where these excerpts came from. This shows the antichrist of self-focus, worship of self as god.
  • Serengeti: My friend has the book "The Secret" and I just had the chance to check out this book. She believes it brings her closer to God. That it teaches that God is energy. Here is what the lighthouse reports and I checked it out it says exactly that. I told her the book is wrong. "We are the creators not only of our own destiny but also of the Universe ... We are all connected, and we are all One" (p. 175). "No matter who you thought you were, now you know the Truth of Who You Really Are. You are the master of the Universe. You are the heir to the kingdom. You are the perfection of Life" ( p. 183). "You are God in a physical body ... You are all power ... You are all intelligence ... You are the creator" ( p. 164). We are co-creators of our life with God. We are both creating and being created at the same time. The universe is not some magic genie that's says, "Your wish is my command," bringing you any car, house, or amount of money you desire. The Secret does not exist to satisfy your every wish but to help us become the kind of people God can use to make His ultimate wish come true - Heaven on Earth and inside each one of us.
  • Other one: I shelled out the five bucks and just watched the silly movie. It is basically a seminar on achieving your wants and needs.... It's basically telling you that you create your future by what you think and feel today. If you dwell on all the bad things in your life, you are basically attracting more of the same for your future. The secret is the power of attraction. What you vision for yourself and actually feel the goodness of the visions of your future will be made manifest in your future........ You create your own future..... no god, no spiritual higher power, just you and your mind which is capable of making anything you visualize come to pass. So Rock, if you really feel good about Victoria's secret, you can easily incorporate that into your future. There are some basic themes that are not completely false about the secret, but overall it's such an Anti-God process that it's beyond blasphemous. But people do tend to make their futures by what they dwell on (self fulfilling prophecy's) that there "seems" to be some ring of truth to this "secret". I can see how people like Oprah will take it to to the spiritual level and do much harm to people. But I also agree with the secret that we should not dwell on negative all the time, for it effects how we think and do..... which really does affect our futures. Now it getting you a new bike as one kid in the seminar..... or the sexy looking wife of your dreams..... well, I just can't buy into all that. It basically says that you can create your own being by the power of your mind...... make things in the world happen just by visualizing them and feeling very good those thoughts and visions..... its the feeling good about it that gives it the power to be made manifest. To an extent the things we experience tomorrow are affected by what we do today, and a good attitude helps tremendously....... but creating or making manifest things to get by the power of your mind........ whoooo boy, that's taking things way way out there. It has the potential of being the next big movement from the same old story of "you decide what's right and wrong for you and you make your own destiny.

How do we know antichrists?

1 John 2:17-26

The sign of a God-less world is the actions of those living in the world. The sign of the end-times of the love of many waxing cold. When we see mass support for the murder of unborn babies, that may be a sign. Then there are these kinds of stories becoming more prevalent. Sign of the condition of so many lost souls...

• Bloody Weekend: 32 Shot, 2 Stabbed, 6 Dead CBS Chicago (April 20, 2008) - A violent and deadly weekend continues in Chicago. At least 12 people have been shot, two of them killed, since Saturday morning. Two others were stabbed in a home invasion. This comes after at least 20 people were shot, four of them killed, from Friday night through early Saturday.

The comments were made at a Tuesday night fund-raiser for a local anti-abortion counseling center. State Sen. Nancy Schaefer (R-Turnerville), who has become an ideological ally of Miller on the abortion issue, made a similar statement almost exactly a year ago, but backed off upon press inquiries. Somehow, we don’t think Miller’s inclined to throw himself in reverse.
   
• Police: Dad stabs baby boy in back (March 15, 2007) - A man stabbed his 11-month-old son in the back, threw the boy out the car window with the kitchen knife stuck in his back and then drove away, police said Thursday. His 5-year-old son managed to escape unharmed. "He was conscious, but the knife was buried all the way to the handle," said Speedway Detective Jim Thiele. The boy, Devin Chandler, was in stable condition at a hospital Thursday. Officers had found Kevin Chandler's car but were searching for him. Thiele said Chandler is homeless and had been staying with some friends or family. Police think 31-year-old Chandler and the boy's mother, Angela Limbrock, were arguing as they prepared to leave Limbrock's apartment on the west side of Indianapolis Wednesday night.
   
• Mass. elevator blast kills 2 people (March 15, 2007) - A man pulled his estranged girlfriend into an elevator in the office building where she worked and ignited a 2-gallon container of gasoline, killing them both, authorities and witnesses said. Authorities found the bodies of a man and woman inside the elevator after the explosion, and police were investigating it as a murder-suicide. "Once again we have an ugly specter of domestic violence here in Massachusetts," Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said. He identified the two dead as Raymond Echavarria, 23, and Xiomara Robles, 21. Witnesses said Echavarria pulled Robles into the elevator. Shortly after, police said, there was an explosion inside the elevator, engulfing it in flames. Police found the gasoline container, a lighter, and a knife at the scene.
   
• 4 killed in NYC shootout; motive unknown (March 15, 2007) - A gunman wearing a fake beard and carrying 100 rounds of ammunition fatally shot a pizzeria employee and two unarmed volunteer police officers in Greenwich Village before other officers shot him to death, the mayor said Thursday. Authorities were investigating why David Gavin, 32, went into a pizzeria around 9 p.m. Wednesday, asked for a menu and then shot an employee 15 times in the back before fleeing, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said. A neighborhood resident, Tina Lourenco, said she saw the gunman and recognized him as a former employee of the pizzeria. Nicholas Todd Pekearo and Eugene Marshalik, two of the city's nearly 4,500 auxiliary police officers, responded to the shooting and approached Gavin, who crossed the street and fired at them.
   
• Propagation of Evil Coast to Coast AM (December 8, 2006) - Filling in for George Noory, Art Bell hosted a night of Open Lines. Art noted an increase in senseless killings and evil acts in recent times. Has society undergone a profound change and if so, why?-- he asked of callers. Marty from Toronto opined that we are now living in a cycle of negative energy, while Jose from Guadalajara cited the biblical "end of an age" where evil is released as never before.

It seems that much of what I hear and read these days indicates that people's actions and attitudes are increasingly rude, crude, and downright cantankerous. Has it always been this way? Many Americans are working two and even three jobs just to make ends meet. Hollywood used to provide respite from day to day pressures. No more. All they do now is contribute to raising stress levels. Ditto for most major league sports. And when is the last time we could trust anything our congressman told us? Come to think of it, we can't trust much of anything anybody tells us. Egad! I'm getting angry just writing this column. However, is it really obligatory that we lose our warmth and compassion? Is everyone who disagrees with us really our enemy? Can we not remain truly uncompromising for a principle without becoming a raving, sadistic madman? Furthermore, it doesn't seem to matter in what "camp" one finds oneself. The story is the same. Conservatives can be just as mean-spirited as liberals and vice versa. Christians just as contemptuous as atheists. In fact, I know unbelievers whom I would far rather be around than some believers. more...

Could this be a prelude to our "Krystallnacht"? Constance Cumbey (July 28, 2008) - See referenced article: In 1938 a crazed Jewish young man, Peter Grynspan, distraught over his parent's deportation to a Polish ghetto, walked into a Nazi office and killed a German military official. This was the incident the Nazis seized upon to rally mass violence against the Jews which culminated in the ugly Krystallnacht in which thousands of Jewish owned businesses had their glass shattered and shops destroyed. Then the already victimized storeowners and other Jews were forced to pay reparations for the cleanup. They were also forced to wear ugly yellow stars. There was an ominous parallel here in the USA yesterday. A crazed out of work man, with a media reported hatred of liberals and their churches allegedly walked into a Knoxville, Tennessee Unitarian Universalist Church and opened fire. At least seven were wounded. Two have so far died. Because of a note left in the car, the matter is being investigated as a "hate crime." What is ignored in the headline coverage are the statements of witnesses contained in the article: He was angry at all religion. He expressed anger two years ago at a neighbor who told him she graduated from Bible School. He said his parents had forced him to go to church as a child. His hatred of religion was certainly not confined to "liberal" ones. The emphasis in the mainstream media coverage seems to be "hate crimes" against "liberal churches" -- not Christianity and the Bible in general. I am fearful of the media spin being put upon this one. I have collected many New Age books that say when people learn what the churches are all about, they will burn them down. Edgar Cayce (A.R.E.) activist Gina Cerminara wrote one such book, Insights for the Age of Aquarius. I rather suspect the Alliance of Civilizations will seize upon this as part of their implementation agenda. They have already written at length that a greater threat than terrorism to the world was 'religious extremism' in the USA. They spelled out with great exactitude that this was more dangerous than terrorism because it was the "extremism" that would breed terrorism. Given the recent publicity characterizing Fellowship Foundation as Christian extremism and given that we know that at the very highest levels it was a New Age stalking horse with interlocking directorates with the highest leadership of powerful New Age groups such as Institute for Noetic Sciences and World Business Academy, I suspect that great hay will be made of this with little or no attention paid to the assailant's total hatred of all religion. The same tactic was tried by New Age leadership after Jim Jones and his People's Temple blew up in 1977. The New Agers promptly blamed the entire organization and final fatal episode on "Christian fundamentalism." I am happy to have played some role, albeit perhaps small, in returning Jim Jones to the New Age community of which he was always such a stalwart part. It would be very nice as the charges of "Christian extremism" advance to likewise hand them back Fellowship Foundation and the Prayer Breakfast Network. Using psychological terms, what appears to be happening is called "projection." The New Agers are busy projecting their own hateful agenda on to us, successfully using the religious subversion networks they created to marginalize and silence those of us sound the alarms! Atheist websites continue to mischaracterize Jim Jones as "Christian" seeking "righteousness." I am certain by now they know he was not, but the lie is convenient for those seeking to put down monotheism in general and Christianity in particular. We need to keep a close and wary eye on this one.

7,000-Year Earth History

2 Peter 3:3-10
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Hosea 6:1-3
Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

So to the Lord, 1 day = 1,000 years. Christ died and rose again around 32 AD. By this standard, two days would be 2,000 years. After 2,000 years the Lord will revive us and in the 3,000th year, He will raise us up. The millennium is the 7,000th year of earth's history. This rings true to the Sabbath day, only for the Lord, the 7th day is the 7,000th - 8,000th year, or the 7th millennium! During the millennium, the earth will be at rest under Christ's perfect rule from Jerusalem.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
