Part 1: China Shock: How China Will Change Your Business - Powered by the world’s most rapidly changing large economy, China is an ever increasing presence and influence in our lives, connected to us by the world’s shipping lanes, financial markets, telecommunications, and above all, by the globalization of appetites. China sews more clothes and stitches more shoes and assembles more toys than any other nation. It has become the world's largest maker of consumer electronics, pumping out more TVs, DVD players, and cell phones than any other country. And more recently, it has ascended the economic development ladder higher still, moving quickly and expertly into biotech and computer manufacturing. It is building cars (there are more than 120 automakers in China), making parts for Boeing 757s, and exploring space with its own domestically built rockets.

Part 2: Half a World Away, an Entrepreneur Grapples With (and Profits From) China’s Boom - Imagine the competitive advantages a company might enjoy if it were structured to tap the different strengths of both the U.S. and Asia. Patrick Lo already has created a company like that. He’s the CEO and co-founder of Netgear, a maker of networking equipment based in Santa Clara, Calif., with 2004 sales of more than $380 million.

Part 3: The Formula: Design in the U.S., Engineer in Taiwan, Build in China

Border Watchers Have Eyes on Texas - On the U.S. - Mexico border with the Lone Star flag flying and a pistol and knife on his belt, a Houstonian, who gave his name as Bill Breaux, stood on top of his pickup and stared through binoculars at the mountainous Arizona-Mexico border. He was looking for migrants trying to sneak into the United States. But on this sunny day, there was not much action.

Pfizer Withdraws Bextra From Market - The painkiller Bextra was taken off the market Thursday, and the government wants other drugs in the same class to carry the strongest possible warnings about increased risk of heart attack and stroke among the millions of people who rely on them. Pfizer Inc. (PFE) suspended sales of Bextra in the United States and the European Union at the request of the Food and Drug Administration and European regulators. The company said the FDA, in seeking its withdrawal, cited a risk of serious skin reactions to Bextra.

Adjustment Time - Coming to Closure - “This is what the Lord Almighty says: Give careful thought to your ways. Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build the house so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored, says the Lord. You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why? declares the Lord Almighty, because of My house which remains a ruin while each of you is busy with his own house.” Haggai 1:7-9

The End Times Church: of Popes, False Prophets and the Anti-Christ - All this said to underscore the point that no modern church rivals the political power, the ecumenical base or the vast membership of the Roman Catholic Church which promotes a false Christianity and ostensibly stands in the stead of Jesus Christ. The Pope is called the Vicar of Christ. Vicar is defined as “one serving as a substitute.” Jesus said in Matthew 24:5, “For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” The Catholic Church, its doctrine, its Pope and its politics certainly bear a watchful eye as the world marches toward the end-times.

Rabbis: Sharon Has Declared War on God - The government of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has declared war on God and his Word by relinquishing its birthright in the Gaza Strip and Samaria in return for a false peace, senior Israeli rabbis said Sunday.

A Paleopuzzle: Chomping With No Chompers - The toothless skull of an early human ancestor discovered in the Caucasus may attest to evolution's oldest known example of compassion for the elderly and handicapped, scientists report today.

I had to laugh when I read this article. I just think its funny how scientists are amazed when ancient bones might indicate people cared about each other way back then. Once again evolution shows how ridiculous it is with that premise. Even the apes show compassion for each other and we're supposed to have evolved from them?

Evidence of Unusual Structural Disturbance Inside the Earth – Polar Reversal May Be Root Cause of Increasing Earthquakes And Volcanoes – Ticking Time Bomb For 2012? - In the last four months the earth experienced the largest three earthquakes in the last two hundred years. The under water volcanoes and earthquakes have gone up 88% over the last three years. The continental earthquakes have gone up by 62% during the same time frame. The rate of increase of these earthquakes and volcanoes when drawn against time is staggering. Some scientists are now afraid that we are moving towards 2012 with ticking time bomb under us. Something catastrophic like the lost world Atlantis can repeat.

High Alert Amid Warnings of Temple Mount Attack - The Shin Bet security service has raised the level of alert in Jerusalem amid indications that extremist Jews are planning to carry out an attack on the mosques of the Temple Mount, and on the basis of new intelligence has beefed up police and security around the site in the heart of the Old City.

Iran opposition declares end to mullah rule - “We, the 70 million people of Iran, hereby joyfully and unequivocally declare that your time has come to an end, and we demand that you submit to the will of the Iranian people and peacefully surrender the power to its rightful owners, the people of Iran, immediately,” states the letter. “We no longer consider you our legitimate government and hereby warn all foreign governments that all transactions and contracts signed with this government after June 16, 2005, will be null and void.” The letter goes on to described the “indescribable horrors” the Iranian people have suffered under the current Muslim regime since 1979.

UFO Expert Bob Trotta Excited by Recent Crop Circle Activity in North Devon - However, one thing is for sure, since the 1990’s the circles have developed in complexity to the point that where once we were seeing simple circles, we are now seeing crop glyphs mimicking computer fractals and elements expressing fourth dimensional processes in quantum physics.

Worldwide Earthquake Activity in the Last Seven Days - It was just a few years ago when a 4.5 or a 5.0 quake would make the news. Today there are so many of those it's become common. Here is a listing (USGS) of the past 7 days just as a reminder.

Does Israel Have a Right to Exist? - “By what right does Israel exist? Why does the world need such a hell-hole of a country, an apartheid-racist-war-mongering-Jewish theocracy?” I suggested that she consider the question as an opening for a conversation about the “right to exist” rather than as a challenge to Israel’s character or to its right—or lack thereof—to exist.

Anti-Semitic Incidents at Highest Level - Anti-Semitic incidents in the United States have reached their highest level in nine years, according to newly released statistics from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

It showed the public favors protecting disabled people such as Schiavo from being denied food and water. The survey results contradict those surveys conducted by major news media organizations before her death.

“If We Take What Jesus Did Literally, We Need to Go Outside Our Four Walls and Do What Jesus Did.” --Youth from 2 Salem, Oregon Churches Bring Awareness and Help to Homeless Shawn Day / Aimee Herd reporting (Apr 4, 2005) - “To actually experience hunger, you know what it’s like. You can imagine being cold, and it's bad. But it’s not as bad as actually feeling it,” says Emily Loberg (13) member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Salem, Oregon. “Actually feeling it,” is what the youth group’s annual “lock-out” is all about. This is the second year for the 24-hour event that helps to bring awareness of the hungry and homeless in the area.
