Al Aqsa official: Jewish temples existed (June
14, 2006) - Contradicting most of his
colleagues, a former senior leader of the Waqf, the Islamic custodians
of the Temple Mount, told WorldNetDaily in an exclusive interview he
has come to believe the first and second Jewish Temples existed and
stood at the current location of the Al Aqsa Mosque. The leader, who
was dismissed from his Waqf position after he quietly made his beliefs
known, said Al Aqsa custodians passed down stories for centuries from
generation to generation indicating the mosque was built at the site
of the former Jewish temples. He said the Muslim world's widespread
denial of the existence of the Jewish temples is political in nature
and is not rooted in facts. "Prophet Solomon built his famous Temple
at the same place that later the Al Aqsa Mosque was built. It cannot
be a coincidence that these different holy sites were built at the
same place. The Jewish Temple Mount existed," said the former senior
Waqf leader, speaking to WorldNetDaily from an apartment in an obscure
alley in Jerusalem's Old City. The former leader, who is well known to
Al Aqsa scholars and Waqf officials, spoke on condition his name be
withheld, claiming an on-the-record interview would endanger his life.
While the Islamic leader's statements may seem elementary to many in
the West, especially in light of overwhelming archaeological evidence
documenting the history of the Jewish temples and description of
services there in the Torah, his words break with mainstream thinking
in much of the Muslim world, which believes the Jewish temples never
existed. more... |

Bush sneaking North American super-state without oversight? (June
13, 2006) - Despite
having no authorization from Congress, the Bush administration has
launched extensive working-group activity to implement a trilateral
agreement with Mexico and Canada.
The membership of the working
groups has not been published, nor has their work product been
disclosed, despite two years of massive effort within the executive
branches of the U.S., Mexico and Canada. The groups, working under the
North American Free Trade Agreement office in the Department of
Commerce, are to implement the
Security and Prosperity Partnership,
or SPP, signed by President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and
then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, on March 23,
2005. The trilateral agreement, signed as a joint declaration not
submitted to Congress for review, led to the creation of the
SPP office
within the Department of Commerce. The SPP report to the heads of
state of the U.S., Mexico and Canada, -- released June 27, 2005, --
lists some 20 different working groups spanning a wide variety of
issues ranging from e-commerce, to aviation policy, to borders and
immigration, involving the activity of multiple U.S. government
agencies. The working groups have
produced a number of memorandums of understanding and trilateral
declarations of agreement. The
Canadian government and the
Mexican government each have SPP
offices comparable to the U.S. office. Geri Word, who heads the SPP
office within the NAFTA office of the U.S. Department of Commerce
affirmed to WND last Friday in a telephone interview that the
membership of the working groups, as well as their work products, have
not been published anywhere, including on the Internet. Why the
secrecy? "We did not want to get the contact people of the working
groups distracted by calls from the public," said Word.

The Market of Markets
(June 13, 2006)
-
Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen
visited President George Bush at Camp David this week. According the
EUobserver, Rasmussen was meeting with Bush to sell his idea about
creating the market of markets. Rasmussen's plan is to establish a
free trade zone spanning both the European and North American
continents
Read about
it here.
Prophetically speaking, this news is
incredible. Before we examine the implications, let's take a look at
what else is going on by way of markets.
-
First, we have
the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership for Peace (Euro-Med) agreement
that Javier Solana negotiated between the then 15 European Union
member states and 12 Mediterranean states. Today, the agreement is
between 25 EU states and 10 Mediterranean states -- 35 in all.
Included in this plan is to have a huge free trade area in place by
the year 2010
Read about it here.
-
Next we have the
six Persian Gulf states coming together in the Cooperation Council
for the Arab States of the Gulf. Their free trade area is also to be
in place by 2010
Read about it here.
- Then we have the North
American Economic and Security Community forming between Mexico, the
United States and Canada. It too is to be in place by 2010
Read about it here.
Did you notice? All these free trade
areas appear to be following a single plan. They all are to be in
place by 2010. And, if you do a little Google searching, you will
discover other trade agreements to be completed by that date too. Now,
we read about Rasmussen's plan to link this all together in a grand
market of markets. Friends, if I were looking for a conspiracy theory,
I sure could find one here. But, as I've always said, I try to keep my
primary focus on the Bible. And, sure enough, the Bible may have
something to say about these trade agreements. The Bible tells us that
the nation Israel will be reborn and the old Roman Empire will be
revived. These two events will be the first great signs of end-time
Bible prophecy. From out of this revived Roman Empire will rise a
10-nation alliance. Out of this alliance will emerge a new European
political leader who will achieved a covenant of some kind that
includes Israel. And, he will make firm, or confirm, his agreement
with Israel for a period of seven years. But, in the middle of the
seven years, the leader will break his promise to Israel. This brings
us to our subject. After breaking his agreement, this European leader
will implement a global, single economic system that will require a
mark of some kind in order for people to buy or sell.

Denmark proposes transatlantic marketplace ahead of EU-US summit
(June 13, 2006)
-
Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the Danish liberal prime
minister, has unveiled an ambitious proposal for the world's two
biggest economies to form a free trade zone. During a visit to the US,
where he addressed the Berkeley, University of California, Mr Fogh
Rasmussen suggested the creation of a "transatlantic marketplace
without barriers to trade and investment." "Let us not forget that the
EU and the United States are responsible for two fifths of world
trade. We are each other's largest trading and investment partners,"
Mr Fogh Rasmussen said in the speech focussed on globalisation. As
much as 85 per cent of US global investments in professional,
scientific and technical services are placed in the EU, he noted.
"Globalization is a fact and we have to embrace it by going on the
offensive both nationally and through international cooperation."
"Achieving the vision of a transatlantic marketplace will of course
take time. Within Europe we have spent the last 50 years building an
internal market," Mr Rasmussen added. He also stressed that it would
not be an "exclusive club" for rich countries. At home the political
opposition was quick to criticise the proposal, saying it risks
turning global trade talks into bilateral co-operation.

US cites China firms for supporting Iran military
(June 13, 2006)
- The
U.S. Treasury Department on Tuesday named one U.S. and four Chinese
companies as supporters of Iran's military and Iranian weapons
programs. The
designation, under an executive order issued by President George W.
Bush in 2005, freezes those companies' U.S. assets and outlaws U.S.
firms or people from doing business with them. The Chinese companies
are Beijing Alite Technologies Co. Ltd., LIMMT Economic and Trade Co.
Ltd., China Great Wall Industry Corp., and China National Precision
Machinery Import/Export Corp. The U.S. company, G.W. Aerospace Inc. of
Torrance, California, is the representative office of China Great Wall
Industry. The Treasury Department designates firms or people under a
range of executive orders and laws in an effort to stop flows of
financing to countries, groups, or individuals it says are engaged in
weapons proliferation, terrorism, or other illicit activities. The
executive order used in Tuesday's announcement is aimed at choking off
funding for weapons programs in North Korea, Iran, and Syria.
"Governments worldwide are urged to take appropriate measures to
ensure that their companies and financial institutions are not
facilitating Iran's proliferation activities," Treasury Undersecretary
Stuart Levey said in a statement. more...

Austrian chancellor suggests EU-wide referendum on constitution
(June 12, 2006)
-
The head of the outgoing Austrian EU presidency,
chancellor Wolfgang Schussel, believes a pan-European referendum could
be the way to revive the stranded EU constitution. In an interview
with Germany's Bild am Sonntag, Mr Schussel said "I can well imagine a
referendum that takes place simultaneously in all EU states. The
constitution would be accepted if the majority of the European
population and the majority of states approves it." But he added that
such a proposal would need to come from the two countries that have
already rejected the charter in public polls - France and the
Netherlands. French and Dutch voters put the bloc in turmoil by
rejecting the constitution on 29 May and 1 June last year, with EU
leaders this week gathering in Brussels to assess the political impact
one year later. more... |

New Quake at Mt. St. Helens Sends Steam, Ash 15,000 Feet High (June
12, 2006) - A small earthquake was recorded at 9:04 p.m.
Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survay. The magnitude 3.2
quake was followed by reports of steam and an ash plume. An airline
pilot then reported a steam plume rose to an altitude of about 15,000
feet. U.S. Geological Survey spokesman Jim Vallance said the quake was
probably caused by a large rockfall from the lava dome inside the
crater. Most likely some hot rock mixed with snow causing the steam.
The small amount of ash in the plume was probably kicked up by the
rock fall, he said. A similar event on May 29th melted some snow and
ice in the crater and also sent up a plume to about the same altitude,
he said. Seismic activity at the mountain has now returned to normal.

Shocking, connect-the-dots exposé of globalist plot
(June 9, 2006)
-
Do world events seem like
they're spinning out of control? Do the explanations you hear from
government officials sound like they're meant to mislead? Does the
establishment news media leave you feeling like you've only hear part of
the story – maybe even the wrong part? Why are groups like the
Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the
Bilderbergers – groups whose members are obviously powerful with
connections to wealth and political influence – never the subject of the
evening news? Something's happening here. Find out in Dr. Stanley
Monteith's blockbuster expose,
"Brotherhood of Darkness." Is there a grand conspiracy at work to
move the world toward global government and a universal religion? Who or
what is actually behind these sinister forces? What is the real hard
scoop? Dr. Stanley Monteith, a medical doctor by training, set out on a
mission to answer those questions some 40 years ago. The results of his
startling research is this amazing, little book, a shocking expose that
shines the light of day on the secret societies – some of which have
been at work on the world stage for centuries. "Most people don't
realize they exist because their minds have been conditioned to reject
any thought of such organizations," explains Monteith.

Ahmadinejad to Meet Russian, Chinese Leaders (June
14, 2006) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad plans
separate meetings this week with leaders of China and Russia, key
players who have resisted US efforts to seek tougher UN action in the
standoff over Iran's nuclear program. Those meetings were expected to
take place Friday following a summit meeting of the Shanghai
Cooperation Organization, or SCO, although host China, has said the
Iranian nuclear issue won't be on the summit's agenda. China had
already announced a planned meeting between Ahmadinejad and Chinese
President Hu Jintao, to include discussion of the nuclear dispute.
Russia's Interfax news agency said Wednesday Putin would also meet the
Iranian leader for talks on the nuclear issue, as well as Caspian Sea
energy exploration and other cooperation between the two states.

Palestinian Power Struggle Risks Civil War (June
14, 2006) - The Palestinian territories are in a state
of near civil war and just one act of violence, such as a high-profile
assassination, could trigger mayhem, an international think tank said
on Tuesday. The International Crisis Group also said President Mahmoud
Abbas's determination to hold a referendum on July 26 on a statehood
proposal that implicitly recognizes Israel risked igniting more
fighting with the ruling Hamas militant group. Abbas and the Hamas
government have been locked in a bitter power struggle since the
Islamists took office after trouncing the president's Fatah movement
in January elections. "Today the situation is but one tragic step --
the assassination of a senior Fatah or Hamas leader, for example --
from all-out chaos," said a report from the Brussels-based ICG, an
organization that seeks to prevent and resolve conflict. Fatah gunmen
set fire to the West Bank office of Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail
Haniyeh, a senior Hamas leader, on Monday after a day of running
clashes between the rivals. Fighting in the Gaza Strip has killed
about 20 people in the past month. more...

Ehud Olmert said Tuesday he had given the go ahead for a shipment of

strengthen his forces against Hamas," Olmert said, referring to Abbas
by his widely-used nickname. "I did this because we are running out of

Minister: Iran, Syria Security Intertwined (June
13, 2006) - Iranian Defense
Minister Gen. Mustafa Najjar stressed that Syria's security is part of
Iran's security and that his country has a duty to defend Syria.
Najjar's remarks were quoted by the Iranian News Agency, IRNA,
following his talks Monday with visiting Syrian counterpart Gen.
Hassan Torkmani. Najjar said Iran will extend full support to Syria
under present conditions "because Iran considers that Syria's security
is part of its own security and national interests." "Relations
between Iran and Syria are solid and fall within the framework of
consolidating peace, stability and security in the region," he added.
Torkmani, for his part, hailed Iran's stance on Syria, noting that he
is carrying a letter of mutual solidarity and support. He stressed the
need to reinforce the armed forces of the two countries to confront
the common enemy which seeks to destabilize security and provoke
tensions in the region. He also reaffirmed Syria's support to Iran's
right to profit from nuclear energy, stressing that "the only way to
settle the crisis over Iran's (nuclear program) is to recognize
officially this right." Both Torkmani and Najjar described the
military and defense relations between the two countries as
"strategic" and constitute "an example of regional cooperation."

Global Markets Plunge on Fed Worries (June
13, 2006) -
Renewed worries over the outlook for U.S.
interest rates sent global markets tumbling again on Tuesday, with
the Japanese stock market plunging more than 4 percent, its biggest
one-day loss in two years. In Bombay, Indian shares plummeted 4.5
percent to their lowest point this year. South Korean shares dropped
2.9 percent, while
Hong Kong plunged 2.5 percent. European stocks opened sharply
lower, with mining and technology stocks leading the decliners.
London's FTSE 100 index dropped 1.4 percent, the German DAX Xetra 30
index fell 1.7 percent, and the French CAC-40 index slipped 1.6
percent. Investors across Asia dumped stocks on speculation that the
U.S. Federal Reserve might raise interest rates later this month,
stoking fears of an economic slowdown in the U.S., the biggest export
market for many Asian countries. A decline Monday on
Wall Street also hurt sentiment. Such concerns have roiled Asian
markets in recent weeks, sparking a similar broad sell-off on
Thursday. Until early May, they were among the world's best-performing
markets this year. The market's plunge comes as investors around the
world anxiously await U.S. inflation data due out Tuesday and
Wednesday. more... |

Al
Qaeda in Iraq Chooses Zarqawi Successor (June
12, 2006) - Al Qaeda in Iraq
named a successor to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi on Monday and said he would
pursue the gruesome campaign of suicide bombings and beheadings begun
by the Jordanian militant killed last week. "The shura council of al
Qaeda in Iraq unanimously agreed on Sheikh Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, to be
a successor to Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi," said a statement signed
by al Qaeda and posted on a Web site frequently used by Islamist
militants. "Sheikh Abu Hamza al-Muhajir is a good brother, has a
history in jihad and is knowledgeable. We ask God that he ... continue
what Sheikh Abu Musab began," it said. Muhajir, little known in the
West, was not among the names that al Qaeda experts had expected to
succeed Zarqawi. Al Qaeda makes up about five percent of Iraq's Sunni
Arab insurgency but its suicide bombers have been responsible for the
most spectacular violence, sometimes killing over 100 people in a
single attack. more...|

Israel Should Not Wait Too Long to Implement Plan: PM (June
11, 2006) - Israel should not wait too
long to implement a plan to set its borders unilaterally if
negotiations with the Palestinians make no progress, Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert said on Sunday. Olmert, in an interview with Sky News,
said he was ready to make "painful and divisive" concessions in the
quest for peace with the Palestinians. But if the Palestinians would
not meet requirements set out in an internationally-backed "road map"
to peace, "then I will try to move with the collaboration and advice
of many other countries, not alone, toward changing the status quo in
the Middle East," he said. Olmert is due to holds talks with British
Prime Minister Tony Blair in London on Monday as he seeks European
support for his proposals to define Israel's borders unilaterally if
peace talks with the Palestinians are not revived.

Spring of 2006 Warmest On Record In Canada, Says Environment Canada (June

spring of 2006 has been the warmest in Canada since record-keeping

temperatures have been 3 degrees C above normal, consistent with a
trend that has seen temperatures rise 1.6 degrees C since 1948. The
trend has been accelerating, with five of the warmest springs on
record occurring in the last decade, the federal data show. Last
winter was the warmest on record with temperatures 3.9 degrees above
normal. more... |
Earth Changes |
This article goes on to put an environmentalist
slant on the data retrieved, placing the "blame" for this global
warming on us for our pollution. While I agree pollution is bad, I
disagree that we are the cause of global warming. The evidence is
given by the scientific evidence found throughout our whole solar
system. There is a solar system-wide increase in radiation of light
measured from all the planets as well as other measurements that show
that while the earth's global temperature is increasing, so is Mars.
Venus has had a 2500% increase in auroral brightness and global
atmospheric changes in less than 30 years, and every planet has some
dramatic increase. The sun has had more activity since 1940 than in
the previous 1150 years. For more data on these measurements, go
here. Clearly, those stuck only observing the earth are going to
miss these facts and blame the changes on us because cars are
relatively new to the scene. Don't be deceived by this ploy. One
volcano eruption produces more greenhouse gasses than a years-worth of
car pollution in Los Angeles. Look how many are becoming active in the
earth changes page. It's a ploy to get public funds for an apparent
problem that can't be fixed. It takes more money from our pockets and
puts it into the hands of the rich and powerful. They use fear to
manipulate the masses. Be wary of fear-mongering to get money. Look at
the WHOLE spectrum of evidence, not just what's directly in front of
you. (ie, examine the whole solar system before saying the only place
affected is earth.) There are no traffic jams on Mars, but it's in the
same predicament as earth.

China and Iranian Presidents to Meet Next Week (June

Iranian presidents will discuss the Iranian nuclear dispute during a

summit, the Chinese foreign ministry said Thursday. President Hu
Jintao will play host to his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,
along with the leaders of Russia and four Central Asian countries who
comprise the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Foreign Ministry
spokesman Liu Jianchao said Hu and Ahmadinejad will hold consultations
aside from the group meeting. Iran is attending the gathering as an
observer, but Ahmadinejad's presence is raising expectations that
China and Russia will broach a new European offer of incentives for
Iran to relinquish its nuclear enrichment program. "I think the
Iranian nuclear issue will be talked about," Liu said at a regular
press briefing in response to a reporter's question about what the
leaders will discuss. "China and Iran have communicated and will
continue to communicate on the Iranian nuclear issue in order to
enhance our mutual understanding so as to make continuous efforts to
reach a peaceful solution to the Iranian nuclear issue through
diplomatic negotiations," he said. more...|

Iran sees problems in atomic offer from six powers (June
11, 2006) -
Iran's envoy to the U.N. nuclear watchdog urged it to exercise
restraint at a meeting starting on Monday while Tehran studies an
offer from world powers to avert a showdown over its disputed atomic
program. Diplomats said the 35 nations on the International Atomic
Energy Agency's governing board planned a debate on Iran but to keep
it low-key and pass no resolutions to avoid upsetting delicate
diplomacy over the powers' overture to Tehran. Four months ago, the
dispute over Iranian nuclear fuel work escalated when the board voted
to refer Tehran to the U.N. Security Council over its history of
hiding atomic research and obstructing IAEA investigations. Last week,
six big powers offered Iran a batch of economic and security
incentives to shelve a uranium-enrichment program that could yield
fuel for nuclear power plants or, eventually, atomic bombs. If Iran
refuses, it could face U.N. sanctions. Chief Iranian nuclear
negotiator Ali Larijani said on Sunday the package contained positive
elements but also "problems and ambiguous points." He said the
precondition that Iran stop all enrichment work, which it has ruled
out, had to be clarified. more...|

Russian Official Urges New World Financial System Without Dominating
Currencies (June
14, 2006) - Russian Deputy
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who is often viewed as one of
President Putin's possible successors, said on Tuesday, June 13, that
the modern world needs a new stable financial system, in which there
will be no dominating currencies. Medvedev was speaking at the 10th
Economic forum in St. Petersburg. At present, dramatic fluctuations of
the exchange rates of world currencies put in jeopardy not only the
economies of individual countries, but also the world order in
general, Medvedev said. In his opinion, the situation cannot remain
like that forever. New leaders of world development with their new,
stable currencies are coming to the limelight, which will inevitably
bring about changes in the financial system too, Medvedev continued.
"This is for the coming generations to decide whether or not a new
international currency will be created," he said, quoted by the
Itar-Tass agency. The Russian official did not rule out a
possibility of the Russian ruble becoming such currency. "Along with
the growth of the demand for rubles, our currency could be one of the
reserve currencies," Medvedev said. | NewWorldOrder |

Geyser, Inactive Since '98, Erupts (June
14, 2006) - Lee Whittlesey and
Betsy Watry heard it before they saw it. "It was like a jet plane,"
Whittlesey said. The two were hiking near the edge of Norris Geyser
Basin in Yellowstone National Park on Saturday, looking for remnants
of an old hotel. Around 5 p.m. they heard the roar, turned around and
saw Ledge geyser, the second-largest at Norris and dormant since 1998,
erupting full-bore, sending a plume of steam about 100 feet in the
air. "I've been in the park 30 years and this was the first time I'd
seen Ledge erupt," said Whittlesey, who is Yellowstone's historian.
"Now I can check that one off." Watry, who works for the Yellowstone
Association, said they were shocked at the show that unfolded about a
quarter-mile away. "We just stood there stunned and watched it for a
while," she said. The eruption coincided with other
out-of-the-ordinary activity at Norris over the weekend, including the
eruption of other sporadic geysers and changes in the water at the

US is 'Not Ready' for Chávez Oil Ban Threat (June

according to a US congressional investigation. The study by the
Government Accountability Office, Congress's non-partisan
investigative agency, obtained by the Financial Times before its
release this month, warns that the US is inadequately prepared for a
potential loss of oil from Venezuela. The investigation was requested
18 months ago by Senator Richard Lugar, Republican chairman of the
Senate foreign relations committee, reflecting growing concerns about
the reliability of Venezuelan oil supplies.Mr Lugar, who has described
energy as a national security issue, introduced legislation in March
that called on the US to expand its international co-operation on
energy issues. The findings are likely to embolden his efforts.Hugo
Chávez, president of the world's fifth largest oil exporting country,
has threatened to "cut off" oil shipments to the US if Washington
continues, as he alleges, to "plot" his overthrow. Venezuela supplies
11 per cent of US oil imports while Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa),
the state-owned oil company, wholly owns five refineries in the US and
partly owns four others through its subsidiary, Citgo.
