My intention with this collection of Bible studies I’ve called
HIStory, Our Future, is to present a collection
of fascinating Bible studies on the sequence of prophetic events from history
and also look through to our future. Through it all, the focus is on God’s
Word and the focus of God’s Word -- Yeshua. It is a look, from the
midst of human history, at the plan of God for the redemption of mankind
through the sacrifice of His Son Yeshua, foretold and foreshadowed through
time leading to His return and our eternity with Him.
I believe we are living in the times foretold to lead to the beginning
of the
Day of the Lord and as a watchman, I would like to share what I’ve
learned in my search for Truth, hopefully in a logical manner that will
both highlight those things that have already happened to strengthen and
build your faith as well as put together a comprehensive model from scripture
regarding the structure of events to come.
There is a lot of debate within Christianity on specific beliefs regarding
the end times prophecies and I feel that, for some, this has pushed them
away from trying to understand what God said about what is going to happen.
It is my desire not to assume I’m right in all that is presented,
but rather build on what I’ve learned from God’s Word and lay
it out as best I can in hopes that it will expand your understanding and
hopefully bring a little clarity to some of the confusion.
While the timing of what God has foretold may still only be seen through
a glass darkly, we are promised that those watching will not be caught off-guard.
I pray these studies as well as the rest of the content of this website
lead you to a stronger faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and
a closer relationship with Yeshua through the Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 46:9-13 Remember the former
things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God,
and there is none like me, Declaring the
end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not
yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will
do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the
man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken
it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do
it. Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: I
bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation
shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
Isaiah 48:3-7 I have declared
the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my
mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew,
and thy brow brass; I have even from the beginning declared it to thee;
before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine
idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath
commanded them. Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare
it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things,
and thou didst not know them. They are created now, and not from the
beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou
shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
1 Thessalonians 5:14-28 Now we
exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded,
support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil
for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among
yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from
all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;
and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless
unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth
you, who also will do it. Brethren, pray for us. Greet all the brethren
with an holy kiss. I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read
unto all the holy brethren. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with
you. Amen.
1 Corinthians 14:1-5
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye
may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not
unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the
spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he
that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation,
and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth
himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye
all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is
he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret,
that the church may receive edifying.
2 Peter 1:19-21 We have also a
more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed,
as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and
the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that
no prophecy of the scripture is of any private
interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time
by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by
the Holy Ghost.
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord
GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets.
Mark 13:22,23 For false Christs
and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to
seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold,
I have foretold you all things.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 But
of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write
unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the
Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then
sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child;
and they shall not escape. But
ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that
that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children
of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor
of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch
and be sober.
Bible prophecy is not meant to be used to predict the future, but rather
is a proof that God knows and foretells the end from the beginning. Much
of prophecy is never fully realized until after the events foretold. However,
as we look from the last days throughout known history according to scripture,
we have a more clear perspective than anyone previously of the Truth of
God’s Word and its application to our lives and our understanding
of our future. God has revealed His plans to His servants the prophets,
whose words we read in scripture. These are meant to build our faith in
God’s Word and therefore our relationship.
God’s wrath is coming on the disobedient and many are blinded by
the things of this world while distracted from, or with little faith in,
God’s Word. I believe this is part of the prophesied apostasy of the
end times. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 They are also blinded by wicked people
for whom God’s wrath is coming. This is
why I place importance on watching what is going on so that I can alert
those with ears to hear what I am seeing. We are not of this world, but
we are the salt and light of it through Christ. I believe understanding
what is really going on in the world in light of Bible prophecy will be
an adrenalin shot to the heart of all who believe the Word of God. May it
bring you greater faith and hope and love to share with those around you.
If you believe the Bible is God’s Word, I will show you what I’ve
been shown in reading it. Revelation 19:10 tells us that the testimony of
Yeshua is the spirit of prophecy and being the Word made flesh, the whole
Bible is written of Him. He is returning and has told His friends what He
is doing, revealing it throughout His Word as written by the prophets moved
by His Holy Spirit. He has not returned yet and He foretold of His second
coming with sudden destruction. Matthew 24:36-39 | Luke 17:24-31 He also
warned of deception in the end-times, Matthew 24:23-28, which is why I keep
God’s Word as the foundation of my understanding for what is to come.
The Lord always does things in accordance with His Word, which never
changes. While not every detail of history is apparent, there is a framework
that revolves around God’s chosen people, Israel. So while not every
detail is readily apparent we know God’s way from His Word. And so
our actions, whether in accordance with His Word or contrary to it, will
produce an expected result because God has made known the benefits and consequences
of our actions whether aligned with or against His ways respectively.
1 Corinthians 14:29-33 Let the
prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be
revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all
may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject
to the prophets. <[The
Bible interprets itself] For God is not
the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of
the saints.
John
15:12-20 This is my commandment, That ye love one another,
as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man
lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends,
if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what
his lord doeth: but I have called you friends;
for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto
you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained
you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should
remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may
give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If
the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If
ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are
not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore
the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant
is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will
also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours
also.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write
unto you. For yourselves know perfectly
that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the
night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden
destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and
they shall not escape. But
ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should
overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children
of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor
of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let
us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night;
and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us,
who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and
love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not
appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who
died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together
with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one
another, even as also ye do.
Watch!
Matthew 25:1-13 Then shall the
kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps,
and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise,
and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps,
and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels
with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered
and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom
cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and
trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us
of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered,
saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather
to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went
to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him
to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the
other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. Matthew 7:13-23 But
he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch
therefore, for ye know neither
the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Matthew 24:36-44, Mark 13:32-37, Luke 12:16-40, Luke 21:34-36,
Hebrews 9:28
Acts 17:11
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received
the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily,
whether those things were so.
This collection of studies cover known history and Bible prophecies that
are fulfilled from the destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon all the way up
to the modern era.
Fulfilled prophecy, in my opinion, is one of the best tools to bring
the reality and precision of Bible prophecy to life. The Word of God is
alive. We are told loud and clear that we should understand God’s
plan. He went to the trouble to spell it out for us so it must be important.
80% of the Bible is prophecy and it is all written about Christ. Unbelievers
are not going to expect what is coming, but believers are supposed to understand
and be in the light about it so that it doesn’t take us like thieves
because those who aren’t in darkness shouldn’t be surprised
by anything that happens. It is easy in these modern times to be of the
opinion that everything will just continue on as it has for millennia
and this physical world we live in will remain as we know it. However,
there is a time coming where heaven will invade earth and life as you
know it will never be the same. The God of heaven and creation will
dwell amongst His creation and each and every one of us will have to
have made a decision to accept His plan of redemption or not, to exist
eternally with Him or exist eternally apart from Him. The choice is ours
to make alone.
This collection of studies is meant to present the information I’ve
found in my research from both history and Bible prophecy regarding the
center of prophecy, Yeshua (Jesus) the Christ. Revelation 19:10 It is my
honor to be sharing my study in hopes of sharing the understanding God has
given me from His Word and the simultaneous confidence, faith, and peace
in the coming turmoil and feeling closer to understanding God’s plan.
I believe in the end the Bible will be revealed to those who love and honor
it, taking God at His Word. I hope that this most of all leads to you reading
the Word of God personally and taking it for truth, bringing you to a closer
relationship with your Creator, Yeshua.
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory
of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of
kings is to search out a matter.
Revelation 1:3-6 Blessed is he
that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep
those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. John
to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace,
from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the
seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who
is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the
prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed
us from our sins in his own blood, And hath
made us kings and priests unto God and his Father;
to him be glory and dominion for ever
and ever. Amen.

Charlie at
Wonderful1.com who references
John Zachary who came up with this conclusion on 14,000-day
periods other than the one in the Holy Bible. He found
these two patterns in 1986 while I was still serving our county in Japan
and long before I met Christ. His calculation from Jesus until
the destruction of Jerusalem aided me significantly. However,
he was lacking the connection to the Old Testament. You can read Mr.
Zachary’s analysis
