Mirrors In Prophetic Timelines

It became apparent in studying the specific timelines given in scripture that there are patterns all through them. This page is an overview of some of those patterns. I don’t currently know what they mean, but the fact that they’re there shows design and I can’t ignore that. I’m sure these are hardly all of them either, so for whatever reason these patterns exist, here they are...

| The Flood | 14,000 Days | Last Half of the 70th Week of Daniel |

Pattern of time mirrored in the Genesis account of the flood

Thanks to Stan (Member X on FulfilledProphecy.com) for the research and bringing this to my attention
Genesis 7:4-6
For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him. And Noah [was] six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

Genesis 7:10-12
And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

Genesis 7:17-24
And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

Genesis 8:3-14
And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated. And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen. And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made: And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more. And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first [month], the first [day] of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry. And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.

The pattern:

Genesis 7
in 7 days the flood would come
it will rain 40 days and 40 nights
waters prevailed 150 days

Genesis 8
waters abated after 150 days
after 40 days Noah opened the Ark window
he stayed another 7 days

Notice how the days are mirrored around the 150 days:
7 - 40 - 150 - 40 - 7

Pattern of time mirrored in the 14,000 days

14,000 days from triumphal entry to destruction of Jerusalem

Luke 19:41-44
[Triumphal entry]-> And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. [Israel blinded Romans 11]
Christ’s Prophecy for Israel:
For the days shall come upon thee, that
thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; [Why?] because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

This brings many things into focus. The triumphal entry marked the blinding of the Jews. It also marked the moment Christ prophesied of the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. And most amazing of all, He said it would happen in a generation! “...shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee...” Christ lays out a timeframe in which both the current parents and their children within them would be killed. If it were around 60 years later or so, the parents would be dead and it would only be the children left. Therefore the prophecy wouldn’t be accurate. It could be anytime after the children are born, but we see from history that it was much more precise a prophecy than that, it was 14,000 days from the triumphal entry when Christ made this prophecy [April 6, 32 AD] to when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple Mount [August 5, 70 AD]. We have the wholly Biblical first account of a generation when Israel wandered the wilderness for 14,000 days exactly.

I believe His prophecy was fulfilled more specifically than we understand from what is written. Also, that “encompassing” Christ prophesied is what Luke 21:20-22 is speaking about. More on that in the Olivet Discourse study.

The two 14,000 day periods are separated by 1,896.83 years.

14,000 days from giving up the Temple Mount to the Jewish “head of the year”

I believe that God gave Israel back the Temple Mount in the Six-Day-War. However, on the very day that Israel took back Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, they gave up control of the Mount to Islamic control and ever since have been haunted by that decision. I believe that was God’s timing to start the 70th week, but because of that generation’s rejection of God’s provision in giving them the Temple Mount, an extension period of one generation, 14,000 days, was added so that generation would not be in power for the 70th week. This is the same principle as the first mention in scripture which was also for Israel from Mt. Sinai to the Promised Land because they didn’t accept God’s provision, but turned to idols and their own desires. It’s easier to see the mirror effect laid out in this chart:

Notice how the same generational periods are mirrored around the 692,808 days:
14,000 - 692,808 - 14,000

Pattern of time mirrored in the last half of the 70th week of Daniel

We also have this interesting mirror pattern evident upon closer inspection of the final 1290 days of the 70th week of Daniel. There are particular events that, because of the exact day prophecies in scripture, we can see a pattern mirrored there.

Notice how the days are mirrored around the 1230 days:
